Fahem has partnered with 754 outgrower farmers across the Atnago farmers group, located in the Oromia Region’s Atnago/Limmu Seka district. The company is dedicated to social responsibility, supporting the community with seedling raising, technical assistance, grain mill establishment, school construction, and kindergarten development.
Uganda Component
The Coffee Gardens was established in 2017 with the goal of producing incredible specialty coffee in an ethical way. The coffee is meticously sorted at 12 different stages before export. The cherry undergoes a long soak in cold mountain spring water, and then a gentle long fermentation lasting forty hours before a final wash.
The sparkling water decaffeination process is a natural and solvent-free method that uses carbon dioxide to extract caffeine from coffee beans without compromising their flavor or aroma. It is considered to be one of the most gentle and effective decaffeination methods available. In this process, green coffee beans are soaked in water and then exposed to pressurized CO2. The CO2 acts as a solvent, selectively binding to and extracting caffeine molecules from the beans. Once the caffeine is removed, the CO2 is released, and the beans are dried and roasted as usual. The sparkling water process is a completely natural and solvent-free method of decaffeination, meaning its an environmentally friendly option with minimal impact on the flavour and aroma of the coffee. It as an excellent solution for consumers seeking a natural and effective way of enjoying decaffeinated coffee.
